June 2026 Quarterly SIG Reports

June 2026 Quarterly SIG Reports

Reports should include:

  • Discussion of specific development areas. Including Jira issues for both features and bugs is helpful.

  • Work related to the FOLIO Roadmap or work that occurred that is not well-represented on the FOLIO roadmap.

  • Information about demos, user discussions, or future functionality for FOLIO.

  • Spins-ups or wind-downs of specific subgroups or working groups in a particular area.

  • Ideas or issues that came up feel outside the scope of the SIG but need commenting.

When you click on Submit Request, this will create a new wiki page that will need to be published. To submit a request,

Acquisitions SIG

Discussed Implementers topics #195, #193, #192

Introduction to https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UIREC-499

App Interaction SIG

@Alissa Hafele & @Laura E Daniels

@Martin Scholz

Starting in May, Alissa & Laura are co-convening. Cross App SIG discussed issues that arise, primarily in circulation-related activities, when FOLIO tenants operate in more than one time zone. This is of particular interest (but not unique) to Consortia. The SIG has had several discussions about persistent filter behavior in Acquisitions Apps (Orders & Receiving) compared to other FOLIO Apps. See https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/x/AwCWZ The persistent filters can lead to unexpected results when sharing a link for a search. We visited the Acquisitions SIG: slide deck outlining challenges and summarizing feedback and will be following up with recommended changes and some ideas around the possibility of filter sets.

Tom Trutt and Laura Daniels will be visiting various SIGs to solicit feedback on the current state of Item State.

Consortia SIG

@Vivian Gould

With the decision by Galileo not to move forward with FOLIO and OpenRS, and their departure from the SIG, the Consortia SIG is in the process of defining who we are and why we exist. Dennis Bridges and the SIG members have been discussing the different types/models of consortia. We also elected to meet once per month, with a second meeting held in reserve, as needed.

Documentation Working Group

@Julia Schauner

@Martina Tumulla

Julia Schauner is the new convener of the Documentation WG and replaced Ludwig Liebl in April.

  • The documentation navigation has been updated (adjustments to the Table of Contents).

  • Documentation specialists have prepared, written and updated contents for the Trillium documentation release, which has been published and will replace Sunflower as starting page soon. Selected sections will be updated and added shortly.

  • The Documentation WG is looking for additional writers, as some contributors became unavailable between the Sunflower and Trillium releases without naming a replacement. Volunteers welcome!

This quarter we planned and put out a FOLIO Census. We will spend some time cleaning up and analyzing the data, and will present the results and methodology at WOLFcon.

Recent session topics:

  • Eureka roles (migrating, or creating in Sunflower)

  • Khalilah and Oleksii joined us for a discussion of what’s in CSP’s

  • Desired use of the ILL Policy field for resource sharing control

Programming Board updates:
Tara (in July) and Tom (in Sept) will rotate off the Programming Board. Kate Hill of SCELC will join us in June, and we have another interested candidate as well.

Linked Open Data

@Kalli Mathios & @Nancy Lorimer

@Charlotte Whitt & @Lisa McColl

The group has been working to advance work on the Linked Data App (Marigold) settings requirements, third-party editor integrations (UXPROD-5665 and UXPROD-5668), Inventory Import functionality, reviewing if additional URIs may be useful in FOLIO Inventory, and held a joint meeting with the FOLIO Discovery SIG. We submitted an accepted WOLFcon panel discussion proposal to increase knowledge and information sharing outside of our SIG with the larger FOLIO community.
