Call for new volunteers for note taking rotation. Need 2 more!

  • Contribute to the community in an easy way! With the rotating schedule, you only take notes about once a month. Sometimes less if meetings are canceled! It's pretty easy to get coverage if you have a conflict on your designated meeting day with your cohort of notetakers.

  • Everyone that already volunteered, please reach out to Raegan and I for further planning.

WOLFcon 2025 webpage is up. The call for submissions ends April 11, 2025.

💡No SIG meeting next week, March 20.

Lists app? Something that isn't a csv?

16:46:43 Von Lisa M English an Alle:
MSU has to print individual records for withdrawals that are sent to the selector to make a replacement decision. There are other examples for times that we need to print records.

16:47:40 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
I would ask to see it all first with the Inventory redesign.
Jennifer Eustis:ߒ

16:47:40 Von Charlotte Whitt an Alle:
Shouldn’t it then be four use cases:
1) Instance
2) Specific holdings
3) Specific item
4) All: Instance, with all holdings, with all items
Laura Daniels:ߑ

16:47:51 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
Replying to "MSU has to print individual records for withdrawal...":
Is what gets printed out now adequate for this?

16:48:41 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UXPROD-491

16:49:00 Von Lisa M English an Alle:
ߑ for Charlotte's list.

16:49:10 Von Charlotte Whitt an Alle:
The MM-SIG is no aligned around if hierarchical display or the current MCL display is wanted

16:49:57 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
And we can't vote on it
Charlotte Whitt:ߘ

16:50:29 Von Charlotte Whitt an Alle:
Replying to "And we can't vote on it":
I would probably abstain ;-)

16:51:04 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
so many clicks to get to basic information

16:51:31 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
https://folio-org.atlassian.net/issues/UXPROD-1877

16:54:54 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
Print is a function in View Source

16:56:12 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
append it to the MARC?

16:56:44 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
Replying to "append it to the MARC?":
that would only work when there is underlying source marc, though

16:56:49 Von Jennifer Eustis an Alle:
I'm not sure appending to the MARC would make sense because of the different standards - it would make it too busy maybe

16:56:55 Von Charlotte Whitt an Alle:
Replying to "append it to the MARC?":
That would be really MARC centric

16:58:17 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
Replying to "append it to the MARC?":
Or whatever is considered the "source"

16:58:47 Von Jennifer Eustis an Alle:
On the Information on Apps (tips and tricks page)?
Charlotte Whitt, Laura Daniels, Felix Hemme:ߑ

17:00:23 Von Ryan Tamares - Stanford Law Library an Alle:
I’ve been able to do something similar with SnagIt software (scrolling capture)
Felix Hemme:ߑ

17:05:02 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
But we shouldn't have to do a hack to get that data
Ryan Tamares - Stanford Law Library, Jennifer Eustis, Lisa M English:➕

17:05:14 Von jeanette an Alle:
Data export profiles could be created for some of those cases if they could later be modified or deleted
Jennifer Eustis, Lynne Fors, Laura Daniels:ߒ

17:05:29 Von Doreen Herold, Lehigh an Alle:
+1 Laura

17:05:37 Von Charlotte Whitt an Alle:
I just installed GoFullPage

17:06:13 Von Doreen Herold, Lehigh an Alle:
Yes, the FOLIO wiki page you mentioned earlier would be a great idea

17:06:43 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
https://getgreenshot.org

17:13:47 Von Charlotte Whitt an Alle:
And here the current use of Staff slips would not be useful?

17:18:04 Von Lynne Fors an Alle:
Maybe including holdings statements?
Ryan Tamares - Stanford Law Library:➕

17:21:52 Von Lisa M English an Alle:
I've downloaded Snapshot

17:22:13 Von Charlotte Whitt an Alle:
What you see in Snapshot, will be available in Sunflower

17:31:06 Von Jamie Jesanis (they/them) an Alle:
Reporting without MetaDB/LDP is a major issue we're trying to work on in the Small Libraries Group FYI. There aren't really any easy solutions unfortunately.

17:32:33 Von Jennifer Eustis an Alle:
Replying to "Reporting without MetaDB/LDP is a major issue we'r...":
It is really hard. If you have time, I'd love to hear what type of reports you need. You could also add them to the spreadsheet. If the format doesn't work, you could always add a sheet specific for small libraries
