Info from Anne Highsmith:
Please be careful about connecting to and disconnecting from the meeting. Sometimes people connect inadvertently or forgot to disconnect after the meeting is over and we end up with VERY long recordings that take a long time for zoom to process. Two weeks in a row now the MM SIG recording has been very long -- 7 hours, a bogus recording for 14 hours, and an 18 hour recording. I think the most important thing is to remember to leave the meeting when it's over; otherwise the recording just keeps running until a timeout.

Subgroup updates

ERM subgroup: first glance at agreements app and discussion on types of license documents - recordings here

Working group for mapping MARC to Inventory - Instance MARC mapping working group (Note: Chalmers is not going to use MARC, but they need to have a MARC to Inventory mapping for their initial load.

Statistical codes/code types

@Charlotte Whitt

Sample of statistical code types and statistical codes from uChicago - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1J1tdCV3Mn7q9a2roWvOS0q2BHlT17vOkf0MQx29zxRc/edit#gid=0

Notes from demo at UM-SIG on 10/31/2018: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XU7hUoi9s6xJQdPxWNqg2JXkWvX7CMhA_syFKPjUTPQ/edit

Notes from this meeting:

  • These will be used in Instance, Holdings, and Items

  • The types will be in a setting list.

  • Institutions will be able to add to this list in their FOLIO settings.

  • There will be two settings pages: one for the types, another for the codes. The access to this will be dictated by permissions.

  • Question: Should the "out of the box" statistical code list be empty or should it be pre-populated with Chicago's "suggestion". Group thought that including one or two examples may be a good idea.

  • Difference of tags and statistical codes: Statistical Codes are searchable.

  • Use Chicago's examples for a demo.

  • Question: Can more than one statistical code be combined? Charlotte asked if Natascha would write an example or two for the wiki.

  • Please contact Charlotte if there are any further questions or use cases.

Parking Lot review

@Laura E Daniels

Have we addressed or can we update any of these "parked" issues?
