Product Council updates | Jennifer Eustis | https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PC/pages/1157070850 Dennis Bridges presented on mod-mosaic. Mosaic will eventually replace Gobi. The Technical Council approved the back end. The architecture of the front end (should be approved soon) is not changing, just enhanced. This is set for Trillium. There was some discussion about a general edge api that any vendor can use. The Acquisitions SIG is thinking about doing a demo by Harrassowitz. They are interested in using mod-gobi or creating their own module. |
BELA (Bulk Edit and Lists App) | Jennifer Eustis | No meeting this week. |
Data Import SIG | Jennifer Eustis | https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DISIG/pages/1129250820 The SIG will be using Jira to track issues that need review by the SIG and those that have been reviewed. Being discussed is a process for getting new ideas into Jira in a way that has no barriers for the community. |

It looks great! Thank you!
18:10:45 Von Vivian Gould an Alle:
Could a copy of this slide deck be made available? This will make a lot of my customers very happy.

18:12:17 Von Felix Hemme an Alle:
Is the order field also displayed and editable in the item record?
18:14:15 Von Natascha Owens (UChicago) an Alle:
Has work already been done to fix sorting by enumeration?
18:16:19 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
A future enhancement I would like to see, related to Natascha's question, would be the ability to use the column sort feature and then save that as the default order
Natascha Owens (UChicago), Jennifer Eustis:➕
18:16:48 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
But this is a great start and will be a vast improvement
18:18:20 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
I would also like the ability to set a different default order (in settings), which might help in some of the situations Sara is outlining
18:19:12 Von Christine Schultz (EBSCO) an Alle:
Replying to "Is the order field also displayed and editable in ...":
Not in this implementation
Felix Hemme:ߑ
18:23:05 Von Christine Schultz (EBSCO) an Alle:
Replying to "Has work already been done to fix sorting by enume...":
No work related to sorting by enumeration is being done as part of this feature. However, we do have the story in the backlog to review requirements
Natascha Owens (UChicago):ߑ
18:24:49 Von Sara Colglazier (MHC/5C) an Alle:
If the Order Numbers are going also to show in Locate or even control how they display to the public then that will be really problematic for long serial and periodical runs ...
18:25:54 Von Vivian Gould an Alle:
Replying to "If the Order Numbers are going also to show in Loc...":
I didn't think the order numbers would display, just be respected.
Laura Daniels:➕
Christine Schultz (EBSCO):ߒ
18:26:26 Von Felix Hemme an Alle:
Ryan and Christine, You can use the time that we have left today. I think people can read the PC and DI update by themself.
18:26:43 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
Replying to "If the Order Numbers are going also to show in Loc...":
Yes, Vivian's interpretation is what I was thinking also. And we definitely want the new order to display to public.
18:28:16 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
I like this approach to staff suppress much better
Ryan Taylor:ߑ
18:28:32 Von Laura Daniels an Alle:
it will allow individual institutions to use it as needed

Replying to "If the Order Numbers are going also to show in Loc...":
Right, respected, so new issue # 1201 for August 8, 2025, will then show to the public after 1200 January 1902--making up dates,
