Task 2.4: Protect license from editing
This task is designed to gather feedback on the mechanisms for protecting a license from being edited except by members of a specified acquisition unit

When creating acquisition units and licenses, please treat the names given in the instructions (Science Team, Science Database License etc.) as suggestions. In order to avoid clashing with others carrying out the same UAT it’s better to create your own unique names for units and licenses.
Login to Snapshot or Snapshot-2 or Eureka Snapshot Folio with the username/password: diku_admin / admin
Navigate to Settings → Acquisition Units
Create a new acquisition unit called "Science Team Protect Edit" with the checkbox for Edit checked
Assign your user with the
role-erm-adminpermission set / “ERM Admin” authorisation role to the acquisition unitLogout, and log back in as your user
Navigate to the Licenses app
Create a new license called "Science Database License 2026"
In the license edit screen, locate the acquisition units field and assign the "Science Team Protect Edit” acquisition unit to this license
Save the license
Verify you can still see the license in search results and you can view the license in the view pane
Verify you can edit the license by making some minor update and saving the license
Logout, and log back in as diku_admin
Verify you can see the license in the search results, but that the option to edit the license is greyed out
Verify that you cannot add an amendment to this license (the option to “Add amendment” is greyed out in the Amendment accordion)
Remember, the point of this task is to allow you to explore the functionality available, so feel free to vary the task and add any feedback you have to the spreadsheet.
