Development update: 

  • Kiwi release timeline: 2nd week of Sprint 124

  • Kiwi Folijet planning: dashboard where you can see the current scope and status of Data Import work for Kiwi

  • Current Data Import feature development dashboard and bugfix support

  • Most recent development work

    • Working on Kiwi releases and a few Juniper hotfixes 

    • Added the new identifier types and default MARC-to-Instance mappings for them

    • This info is included in the Kiwi release notes  

      • Cancelled system control number

      • UPC

      • Invalid UPC

      • ISMN

      • Invalid ISMN

    • When an updated MARC-to-Instance map is delivered as part of a release, how does it affect a library's customized map?

      • Once the map has been updated, it possible to do a refresh of the instances to take the updated mappings into account? (can we crib Ian's script?)

  • Optimistic locking:

    • Breaks quickMARC, Remote storage, Data Import (Inventory updates only)

    • All teams working on bugfixes, but safest to 

    • Release Kiwi with OL turned off for Inventory, then test thoroughly during Lotus development, then turn on in Lotus

  • Starting Kiwi Bugfest environment prep

    • Last week, we discussed keeping a few and adding TestRail cases to see if the migrated profiles work properly. Has that happened?

      • A Keep and B Keep - then delete all the rest

    • Next steps:

      • A-M to remove extraneous profiles

      • A-M to create draft TestRails, that folks can hopefully help finalize at MM SIG on Thursday

  • Still finalizing plans Data Import features in Lotus - these are the contenders

    • Using POL and VRN as matchpoints to locate and update related Inventory and SRS records

    • Creating FOLIO Invoices from MARC data

    • Creating FOLIO Orders from MARC data

  • Feature Prep: Creating Invoices from MARC Data

    • Continue reviewing the page, referencing the homework questions from last week

      • Any additional problems that should be solved with this feature?

      • Any additional use cases?

      • Any variant MARC invoice examples that would be good to show the developers?

      • Start thinking about the SME questions, and add any others that come to mind.
