Technical Council thinks that better testing could uncover major changes / problems before getting to users for testing. We are not sure about this. But, support bugfest as you can.

Changed next meeting to a housekeeping meeting.

RP: further description of instances not updating when srs marc is being updated - instance does not update unless changes to marc are mapped to an instance field.

JE: We might have made this change in our log unintentionally when we made changes.

CT: We still have a problem in that the premise that you update srs marc and instance in tandem is now no longer the case.

VG: What do we want from instance / srs records? Is that what we have?

CT: This might help us with some of the changes we want since the link between srs and instance has been changed.

Different implementations of Sunflower seem to be behaving differently.

Develop https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UXPROD-4080 Created in 2023.

Developers need SME use cases and examples.

Current Examples in this Jira as of Apr 22, 2026 :

• Example 1: Incoming MARC Bib only has Leader, 245, 856. Library only wants to update the existing 856, but not replace the rest of the existing MARC Bib

• Example 2: only add the OCLC 035 to the existing record; ignore the rest of the incoming record{*}{*}
