Review of ACQ prioritization workflow

Dennis

Acq has topics list. Folks add topics whenever they have something to discuss. Review regularly, when time. Perhaps there’s a solution. If enhancement suggestion needed, queue it up so PO can create a story, then create ticket(s) in Jira. Topics are archived once issue is created so list isn’t unwieldy. Ticket gets labeled “Acq-SIG-topic” to keep track. Folks can give those tickets thumbs-up to vote on them. (Votes aren't enough sometimes though, funding often drives dev work for features.) Bugs though get prioritized by PO based on impact.

Discussion of next steps re: prioritization

Lucy/All

Next step could be that we vote on the Consortia related tickets we’ve identified. Some are already committed to releases.

Get votes, could present this at WOLFcon.

Can add use cases, explanations, comments, to same tickets. Or see which ones get the most votes and do the work on those.

For now, we will add a link to the list of Consortia-related Jira Issues that Dennis created and ask people to vote for the ones that they like. Will add a page or link to the relevant area of the Consortia SIG navigation bar. Lucy will share the email she sends out to her team with the group.

WOLFCon topics

Lucy

The team discussed whether to have a panel presentation from several consortia on how their implementations are going. Perhaps we could also present our priorities for future work. Dennis volunteered to facilitate. Dennis also asked the group for feedback on other consortia-related topics that might proposed for WOLFcon, including resource sharing (in FOLIO), joint acquisitions, and reports.

Lucy will provide a proposed description for a Consortia SIG session and put it in the slack channel for discussion at our next meeting.
