Central Office Functionality

Categories of central office functions

• data management
  • push data to (one or more) tenants
    • ERM
    • patron loads
• tenant management - doing things on behalf of tenants
  • this might be as simple as being able to access each tenant via the Central Office app by choosing the member library from a list
• borrowing/requesting config (load management)
  • load balancing
• reporting
  • should each library have their own LDP? probably; need to limit access to patron data
  • consortium view of data could be either a virtual or physical aggregation of necessary data

ERM (all phases)

• interest in pushing data from central office to one or more tenants (eHoldings app) that then populates 3rd party tools (KBs, authentication systems like OpenAthens, etc.)
