Meeting frequency

• keep 1st/3rd Tuesday of the month on the calendar. Will plan to normally cancel the 3rd Tuesday unless have a need to meet. Default will be monthly

Need a Consortia survey? Implementers SIG is doing a “Census” to populate a Directory of FOLIO libraries. There will be a separate Integrations survey that goes out at the same time (one email/slack with links to the different surveys). And we’re asking if other SIG’s want to add a survey of their own to the fun. RA might. Do we want to?

• Implementers Census will go out beginning of May, so we’d need to be done by then.

• Implementers Census will include basic questions about consortia

  • do you belong to one, name of it, do you run ECS or no

Add to Census

• Type of consortium

  • e.g., shared ILS, Cooperative purchasing, Resource sharing, etc

• how many libraries in the consortium

• What software do you use for resource sharing?

  • OpenRS, InnReach, Reshare, Other?

• maybe put the ECS question with the other consortia question, have 3 options

  • FOLIO single-tenant

  • FOLIO ECS

  • non-FOLIO

Darsi will get the questions worded and bring back to the group for review at next meeting.

Ongoing discussion about the various types of consortia, how they do business, what their needs are, generally and in the FOLIO environment.

Possible angle: what are top ten things these consortia do. Use cases e.g., “we’re ordering electronic journals for member libraries” “we’re managing permissions”
