30 | GALILEO testing issues | Christine Schultz (EBSCO) | Christine joining us. Her team focuses on Marc cataloging, inventory, authority. GALILEO will go live to FOLIO over winter break. Doing user testing now on Sunflower. Still waiting on OpenRS, Locate updates coming in fall, then will test those. A couple of things have come up, thought would be good to discuss here. Inventory search/item status: Held by facet + missing might bring up items not held by this institution. Not just happening for Consortia. Christine says it’s a “nested objects” issue. The facets act like an “or” instead of an “and.” Proposed solution is to have separate indexes for holdings and items. UXPROD-4906 but implementation not assigned to a version yet. Possible Umbrellaleaf but will know after analysis. Inventory searching: Using Held by facet and searching by holdings administrative note might get you a result where the holdings note matches in a holdings that is for a different institution. Christine: this is a permissions thing, you ARE permitted to search across tenants. It’s really the same issue, in that the “Held by” facet and the note search is an OR at the tenant level. One holdings matches the “held by” facet, one holdings matches the note. |
