Amanda Ros

Texas A&M

As the Coordinator of Adaptive Cataloging & Resource Management at Texas A&M University, I supervise copy catalogers across our main and special collections libraries. My responsibilities include training staff on the FOLIO Inventory and Bulk Edit apps, testing new releases, and serving on our local FOLIO Steering Committee. Since November 2021 I have contributed to the FOLIO community through active involvement in the BELA SIG, including serving as the writer for BELA (Inventory) documentation. My experience with multiple FOLIO apps, training staff across various library units, and documentation writing make me a strong candidate to serve on the PC.

As Sub-Director of Libraries at Universidad de Concepción, I bring 15+ years of leadership in academic library systems and workflows. I have a deep functional understanding of FOLIO, having been part of our core migration team and directly leading the implementation of the Acquisitions module. Representing our institution at WOLFConn 2024 allowed me to engage deeply with the community's global ecosystem. My goal on the Product Council is to leverage this hands-on experience to advocate for robust, scalable feature roadmaps. I am committed to bridging technical capabilities with diverse user needs, ensuring FOLIO remains an agile, world-class open-source solution.

Martin Scholz

FAU Nuremberg-Erlangen University Library

I'm leading the FOLIO migration at University Library Erlangen-Nuremberg, which is part of the Bavarian Library Network (BVB), Germany. We will go live with Sunflower Okapi in August 2026, self-hosted by BVB. I serve on the Product Council since 2024, where I currently engage in installing the Community Driven Development Framework and creating a list of community tools for and integrations with FOLIO. My interest is to help further lifting the potentials of FOLIO's open and diverse community .

I am interested in contributing to the international FOLIO community through the Product Council.
I bring 15 years of experience as a Product Manager and Scrum Product Owner for OCLC library systems, including SISIS-SunRise in Germany and the Netherlands and WMS across Europe and the Middle East.
For the nine years, I have worked at the Bavarian State Library, supporting academic libraries and leading migration projects from SISIS-SunRise to FOLIO.
Metadata management is one of my core areas of expertise, and I moderate the monthly meetings of the German Metadata Group.
I would be pleased to contribute my product, migration, and community experience to help shape FOLIO’s future development.

I am seeking a second two-year term on the FOLIO Product Council. It has been a privilege to contribute to the Council's work over the past two years under the leadership of Caitlyn Stewart and Jeremy Huff. I am proud to have been involved in initiatives such as Community-Driven Development, the Community Priorities Dashboard, and the Third-Party Integrations list as they have been launched and refined. Collaborating with colleagues on the Community Priorities Dashboard working group has been particularly rewarding. The Council has made significant strides in understanding, defining, and elevating product gaps, and I would be honored to continue contributing to this valuable work.

With 10+ years of technical services experience, currently as an analyst and PO, I am adept at prioritizing features and bridging staff workflows with technical requirements. Active in the FOLIO community since 2021, I previously served as Stanford’s Metadata and Acquisitions analyst working on migration and implementation. Today, I remain engaged across various SIGs—currently as a member of the Support SIG and Documentation WG, and most recently as a Cross App SIG co-convener. I understand the challenges, wishes, and wins of staff and I’ve seen firsthand the power of this community and the obstacles that accompany it. I would love an opportunity to work with the PC to ensure FOLIO evolves with the changing library landscape.

I am seeking election back to the Product Council. I previously served from 2021-2025, first as a representative of Missouri State University, where I lead our FOLIO implementation in early 2020, before joining EBSCO as a Sr. FOLIO Implementation Consultant in January of 2022. I have also served as a Product Owner for INN-Reach and Requests, and am highly active in the community, including my previous terms on the PC and participation in several SIGs. I believe strongly in the mission of the FOLIO project, the community building it, and the role the PC plays in that process. If re-elected, I will work diligently to ensure FOLIO’s continued growth and success.

I bring a unique combination of Librarianship, Business Management, and Systems Analysis, with over 25 years of experience as a systems librarian and strong expertise in product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and stakeholder engagement. As SaaS Innovation Director at EBSCO, I have supported FOLIO implementations at more than 30 institutions, helping translate library needs into scalable solutions and actionable product improvements. I am recognized for data-driven decision-making, agile practices, and building consensus across diverse communities. Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian, I promote transparency, collaboration, and global engagement while helping shape FOLIO's vision, roadmap, and long-term success.

Aaron Bales

I am seeking a seat on the FOLIO Product Council, where I will bring a blend of legacy ILS expertise and fresh FOLIO implementation experience. With nearly 20 years as a systems librarian, and a previous broad foundation of public and technical services experience, I have a deeply developed understanding of library technology and operations. As the Head of Library Application Management at the University of Notre Dame, navigating our June 2026 FOLIO go-live has given me a clear, real-world view of the practical challenges and wins that come with adopting this platform. I am excited by FOLIO’s community-led approach and look forward to the opportunity to contribute to a system that effectively serves library staff and patrons alike.

If re-elected, I’ll work to drive further initiatives that ensure community needs are prioritized and realized efficiently.

I participate in the FOLIO Community by attending and contributing to SIGs (co-convener for
RA SIG) and OLF Slack. I have also presented multiple times at WOLFcon. As a systems librarian, I evaluate and implement FOLIO upgrades, serve as the main contact for vendors, and provide technical support to library staff. I served as the project lead for the implementation of VuFind and Metadb. I hold leadership roles at my institution including serving as chair of the Librarian and Archivist Council on the Columbia campus. I value that FOLIO development is community-driven and built on modern technologies. I hope to join the Product Council to further strengthen my commitment to the development of FOLIO.
