Introductions

 

Caitlin Stewart – PC. 2nd year on PC and just went live with FOLIO.
Jeremy Huff – PC. 2nd year on PC; formerly chair of TC.
Tom Cramer – CC. 4th year on CC, also on OLF Board
Paul Kloppenborg – CC. 1st year on CC, and a European rep
Olamide Kolawole – TC. 3 years on FOLIO and formerly TC co-chair
Jenn Colt – TC. 2nd term on TC.

 

WolfCon shoulder meetings

 

CC, PC, TC all expecting to have Council meetings on 9/26 in the AM &
Tri-Council meeting in the PM.

  1. Let’s confirm with each Council the plan for Sept 26 meetings; gather feedback

  2. Perhaps schedule TriCouncil preferentially--in the morning?--if people’s travel is an issue.

  3. Tom will confirm with Jesse about space, times and Zoom links. (Expectation is that we’ll have hybrid participants)

Potential topics for Tri-Council:

  1. software development models / maintenance / licensing

  2. membership – value, activities, levels, expansion, etc.

  3. PC dashboard for community priorities.

  4. AWS hosting costs – move to distributed hosting environments from members?

  5. Bugfest. How are we doing? Could we do better?

Do Tri-Council Chairs need to meet or coordinate more intensively over next 6 weeks? Currently only have one normally scheduled meeting (first Monday in Sept) – which is Labor Day (US Holiday). Rescheduled for August 25 at 11 AM ET.

 

Pre-WolfCon Tri-council meeting

 

Proposal: Let’s have each Council underway present on top discussion items, initatives. Goal: exposition, get everyone on same page, identify connections. Not necessarily try to solve things.

Need a date: typically use either PC or CC time slot. August 28, 2025 at 10 AM ET. To do:
1. set up agenda doc. (Tom) [DONE]

  1. Each council give an update on major topics on their docket. 10-15 min each (max).

 

Coordinating on emerging topics: CDD, Dev Network, licensing, etc

 

Discussed above; Tri-Council meeting on August 28 will help by surfacing main themes and needs in motion across Community.

  • distinction b/t Co-Chairs vs. Officers. Good discussion point. Jeremy’s observation is that Officers deal with CC more than other Councils. Also overlap with the Summits.

  • FOLIO Member Meeting at WOLFcon

  • Annual Open Community Forum

 

Better Communications

 

Let’s look at the way communication flows across the community. Can we make it easier to onboard new members? Give a sense of belonging? Track what’s going on?
