List app UAT - Poppy release

The working group went through the UAT together as a group. We created a new list of items called Test Bob. We needed to click on "Test query". We also needed to wait until the query ended to be able to "Run query & save".

Is it intuitive that you can edit the query? Not exactly.

Some didn't like being required to do a test query and mentioned it should be an option. The test query button is in a different place than run query & save which is a little confusing.

Why didn't the list of records just display? You have to click "View list" to view the items in list. This is to cover the time for the list to be created. If the query takes a long time to process, would it make more sense to redirect users to the main lists app screen where you see a status of processing? Maybe having a status bar would be great to know how long it will take to process.

The result box cannot be resized.

When you export the list, it exports all the fields for that record.

What does "Edit List" mean? It allows you to update the list name, description, visibility, and list status.

If the list is shared, is there any warning about it being shared? There is no warning just a confirmation about being sure you want to delete the list?

To update the record set, you would need to rerun the query by going to Actions→Refresh. This would give you a whole new record set.

Future enhancements could include: folders and/or labels; link to record (item, users, etc.); remove single records from list.

It would be great to work on the records right from the list of records. It would be great to link to the connected holdings, instance, and srs record. It would also be good to get back to the list after making changes to a record.

It would be good to see the field that you are searching on in the query results. The date is also a date/time stamp which isn't intuitive.

Should the operators be symbols or plain text?

The list limit is 1.5 million records. If there is an occasion to create a list with more than this limit, is there any other way to run this query? Currently there isn't a way to do this. There is a warning when the limit is exceeded. You would have to narrow down the large set into smaller sets.

Are statistical codes included? No. There are no repeating fields currently. You can't do a search on these repeating fields.

Some fields could be used more than once like item status where institutions want a report on different missing item statuses like missing and long missing. If you select the operator to "In" then you can put in multiple values.

The operators aren't intuitive.
