    Bulk Edit

    Modifications to the “Remove all” action on MARC records bulk edit form (https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UIBULKED-590 )

    If a user wants to remove the entire field, must enter a subfield or else it is not possible to remove the whole field. Survey results revealed this is not intuitive to users. A change is needed

    Proposed UI changes:

    Change proposal inserts new options: remove subfield and remove field. Remove field makes subfield a non-required element for preforming a MARC record bulk edit.

    Currently edits must be made line by line when editing specific subfields.

    Proposed UI changes:

    Preview changes in MARC format will provide a screen of a MARC preview when you click the button to preview from a FOLIO window.

    Concern: MARC changes relies on Data Import. These changes are not prioritized in Data Import and thus fall at the end of the job queue. There is a ticket for this but has not been worked on.

    Trillium UAT Feedback: Querying repeatable fields across predefined, tree-text, and Boolean field types

    Generally, testers reported that search behavior matched their expectations across nearly all supported operators.

    Issues and gaps: no blocking issues or gaps identified

    • Documentation: better documentation for null/empty value behavior (see link in presentation)

    • Consistency: better standardization of naming convention of searchable fields

    • Workflow if a field is query able, it should be bulk-editable.
