Handoff Planning
Tara is stepping down as the Cross App Convener. Laura and Alissa will be taking over. This meeting is for planning that handoff.
What actually needs to be switched over?
The calendar event is on my personal account--this needs to be recreated, or we need to move to a generic calendar event.
I can’t think of where, but I might be named as the convener on some documents
Anything else?
What are the convener’s duties?
Manage meetings (plan, announce, run)
Also complete the notes for meetings in a timely manner <--I am notoriously bad at this
Manage one-off projects/initiatives and ideally see them through to something like completion
This has been pretty challenging because many things we discuss are 1) not in our control, and 2) difficult to define. To get around this, I’ve tried to focus on what we can control, and set conditions for completion in advance. This has worked…medium well.
Run WOLFcon sessions
Theoretically, we have a quarterly check-in with the POs. This is more like semi-annually.
For this, evaluate where the issue currently stands, collect rankings from the SIG, and then write up a new document for the POs. I also attend that PO meeting to present, though usually it’s more answering questions.
What projects are currently ongoing?
Search Tips/Search Behavior
This was the outcome of our big wolfcon session of 2025. The initial ticket is closed, but I am not sure how to move this forward otherwise. I’m not sure if further discussion has happened with the POs.
Keyboard navigation issues
This is what we were working on at the end of 2025. The analysis is complete, but it’s not clear how to get this into Jira. Need to loop back to Khalilah (I think) to get a sense of how these should be submitted.
Filter behavior
This is what our recent meetings have been about. May 4th is planned for this as well.

Some things I never got to:
We really would benefit from having dashboards in Jira for tracking all the many issues we care about. I never really got this to work--it was a lot of manual adding and tagging.
We actually don't have representation from across the SIGs, so it's almost impossible for us to make decisions that are representative of all SIGs. We need either a mechanism for collecting consensus or a better sense of who our attendees are in order to ensure we’re really presenting a true cross app vision.
Need to decide/do:
Choose a date for the switchover
mid-to-late May (May 18th)
Announce this in SIG conveners (and maybe PC, not sure if needed)
TARA will announce
Add Alissa to Conveners Slack (and make sure everyone has the zoom control code)
Everyone has access to the right permissions in Jira <--probably fine
Anything else??
