Review of Donors UAT

• Wrapped up UAT last week for donors

• ~ :16 - Demo of donors functionality 

  • Can designate Organization as donor

  • Can associate donor with a fund

  • Can add donor to an order line and search on it

• ~ :19 - Beginning of review

• Feedback Summary

  • Nice to have dedicated donor records

  • What about Inventory? 

  • What about Discovery?

  • Where do links get stored?

  • Unsure how useful the link between fund and PO is - but don't take it away!  

• No showstopper defects

• Suggested enhancements

  • Expand donor functionality to inventory (UXPROD-4666)

  • Save as you go (contact persons, donors...) - add "Save & Continue" button (UIORGS-420)

• Next Steps:

  • Create feature to link donor records to other areas:

    • Inventory

    • E-content (ERM)

• Years ago wrote a feature about introducing custom fields for purchase orders. Leipzig development team has picked up that feature and it is currently in development.

• Starting to materialize in snapshot under Orders settings

  • Custom fields for POs and POLs

• Will see about getting a demo from Leipzig.

• Interfaces currently can only have a certain number of types - hardcoded values

• Desire for "Holdings" type

• Have other institutions found the types limiting? 

• What does Interface type do? - Way to filter through interfaces

• Interfaces also in Agreements - if you add Organization, interface will appear

• Are there others who would find this valuable? Inquire with ERM SIG?

• No other types or concerns presented in meeting. May need more information about what "Holdings" type would be used for in this case.

  So I just found the Interface types one can choose in Organizations: Admin, End user, Reports, Orders, Invoices, Other …. Often when one is in a Publisher's admin portal/interface there is also a tab/sections for Holdings, maybe that is what they were after.

• Serials receiving

• Print title in Vufind has list of unbound issues. As bound get item records.

• In FOLIO Holdings, when you go to edit, can see the receiving history.

• Currently receive straight into inventory. 

• Can set Public display check box when manually added, but if received using receiving app, there is no way to control the public display box. 

• Also worth noting, cannot tell unless in the edit menu whether public display box is checked or not.
