Ran a poll about pain points in acquisitions work. The poll had 17 responses and identified several challenges:

Main pain points included:

• Creating orders manually

• Creating invoices manually

• Claiming

• Gathering information for work tasks

Also discussed what value-added work people can't do due to time constraints, including:

• Creating/improving documentation

• Analysis of usage data

• Cross-collaborative work

• Correcting ISSNs in records

Shared more detailed findings about invoice and order creation issues, noting that more people struggle with inputting invoices than approving them.

Also discussed purchase requests, which are time-consuming. A participant from Spokane Public Library mentioned working on a "Wishlist" mod for requests.

Was not time in the session to discuss "gathering information" in detail, which involves the challenge of collecting scattered information needed for acquisitions decisions.
