Notes in the Action Required cell for the PO to create a JIRA - is this in progress?
Discussion of status meanings. Per Aaron:
Open - hasn’t been discussed or looking for more information
Pending - discussed and prepared to get a ticket
Closed - fully written up & has a JIRA, but not necessarily discussed by Thunderjet yet
Trying to decide how many tickets it needs
Need to be able to receive multiple pieces on something after the fact without realizing previously that it had been a multi-volume set
Would it be possible to do it all from the POL?
Doing everything in receiving is fine too, as long as it is possible to say don’t change the price
Would like to be able to do everything in one place
Maybe a checkbox on the receiving record?
Maybe when adding a piece to a synchronized order in receiving, it doesn’t impact the price and if you want to change the price of the POL then you have to edit it.
Depends on each library’s workflow how sets are handled - institution specific
Separate Acquisitions/Cataloging where adding barcodes to pieces is strictly handled by cataloging
Some just receive and pay for one PO - won’t see PO on all items, but can access from holdings or inventory
Independent order and receipt quantity still feels like the right fit for this
:33 - Do you really want the order line quantity to increase or are you just happy to have that happen because that means the order will automatically close when done?
Interest in items being associated with POLs they are purchased on.
Do not care about quantity increasing, number can remain 1 on the POL.
Issue with independent workflow is no automated closure of the order at the end.
Another approach:
~:43 - The options for ongoing orders are very limited (ongoing for receipt and payment in the POL)
