• Data Import SIG would like to have a couple of meetings dedicated to MARC orders in collaboration with our SIG. 

  • They are thinking of starting at their June 11th meeting which is 1-2 PM EST. 

  • Would members of our SIG who are interested be able to join at that time? We could also post links to the recording and invite Jennifer and Christie to a future meeting.

Product Council Update

• Moving ahead with Sunflower - Monday will be official release date.

• 2025-05-22 Product Council Agenda and Meeting Notes

  • Better Sample Data Update: anonymized full data set for BugFest to support better testing and better data in Snapshot

  • Trying to find ways to make better testing and surface issues earlier.

  • Still will be small because it has to be rebuilt every day.

  • Open Access update: new development work to begin.

  • OA SIG got funding from European Regional Development Fund.

  • Opportunity for cross-collaboration.

• Tri-Council Meeting - 2025-05-15 Tri-Council Meeting notes

  • Want to make sure all community members can move to Eureka.

  • Jeremy Huff worked on proposal to extend support for Ramsons to allow all FOLIO customers the time to migrate to a Eureka platform.

  • Longer term formation of a “Community-Driven Development” task force to support larger participation in FOLIO development. CDD Working Group Kickoff meeting is May 28.

• Acquisitions/Resource Management implementers

• Templates for CSV export behavior.

• Right now the two available options are to export all fields of both levels of records or select individual fields to export.

• Want to select individual fields, but would be nice to pre-select the columns as a template. Then when going to export could choose that template.

• Example: a report where director only needs high level information (5 or 6 fields).

• Have to remember which fields to select and what order they are in.

• Would like to minimize human error.

• Kristin - Export from orders a lot to see where things stand. Generally export all and then spend 10 minutes fixing it. Like the ability to see orders and order line information together.

• Should this functionality be added to lists app?

  • Many have not used Lists app for Acquisitions data so far - Maybe after Sunflower release.

• Requesting library is going live within the month.

  • Wonder if they could play with the Lists app in Sunflower BugFest

• Dennis and POs that work on the Lists App have talked about the future of the CSV export functionality.

  • Export to CSV functionality was stopgap implemented kind of quickly - some limitations because of that.

  • Thinking of adding additional functionality at this time is something we need to really consider.

  • Maybe look at Lists app as SIG for Acquisitions functionality

  • Could see action item that is Create List rather than Export to CSV

• Permissions on Lists App? - Is it granular to the level where users would only be able to access data specific to their area?

  • Permissions too wide open vs being able to hone in

  • Lists app gets data from perspective API (e.g. orders). If your user doesn’t have the view permission for orders (GET Orders) - won’t be able to create a list with order data in it.

    • Built on top of application permissions that already exist.

  • Permission for Lists app and then permissions for data from underlying information.

  • As of Ramsons, Lists app permissions are needed, as well as content-specific permissions: Lists App permissions -

• Molly - Sunflower BugFest - Pulled invoice line list as FOLIO user. Can deselect columns and the setting stuck. Might be a good alternative path. Only thing missing - right now don’t think it contains Receiving data.

• If Lists is an attractive option for workflows, definitely seems logical to implement

• Lists - Export Selected Columns - saved/predetermined selected columns

  Can you set selected columns on each different list query?

    You can -- what I need to test is if, on shared lists, the column selections are specific to the list or the user. I can test and follow up!

  • Believe column selections are specific to the list. - Worth verifying.

• Can build list, refresh, and export.

• Moving forward interested in how much crossover there is.

• Maybe rather than making adjustments to export CSV functionality, can develop integration with the Lists app.

  I really think it would be worth exploring a 'Create list' action in Acq apps to pass the query over to Lists in an efficient way!

• If you already filtered and created the same list previously, would be nice if the action could say Go to List instead of creating Lists of duplicated data.

  • Can’t think of a reason why that wouldn’t be possible. Maybe the only catch is that there are varying complexities of Lists that can be created. E.g. - Order, invoice, fund lists where filter options are different.

  • In UI of orders maybe do a check that says there are lists that match this query - can check out those or create a new one.

• Search for contact people

• Search for contact people or by contact people?

  • Have had it in the past where people want to search for Organizations by contact people.

    • Adding a search index for contact person

• Do have a modal for searching for contact people, but have to be editing Organization to view

• Envision it added as search by field or filter

• Is there a reason to search for two people?

  • For example, John and Jane associated with a particular record

  • No current use case - typically talking about searching for a single person
