Bulk edit

Bulk edit supports editing all non-control fields in MARC bibliographic records.

Errors encountered during a bulk edit job are now separated from warnings. Errors are reported if the records cannot be uniquely identified records for a bulk editing job or if update of a record fails. Existing data issues that do not affect bulk edit execution are reported as warnings.

Instance records now have a “Set for deletion” flag (similar to Suppress from Discovery & Staff Suppress). This flag can be set via the following routes:

• Instance Edit screen

• Set record for deletion action on Inventory 3rd pane Instance view

• Setting underlying MARC LDR 05 to “d” via QuickMARC

• Setting underlying MARC LDR 05 to “d” via Data Import

Inventory now supports ability to view Version History for the following record types:

• Instances

• FOLIO holdings

• Items

• MARC bibliographic records

• MARC authority records

The goal of the version history is to track field-level changes (added, removed, edited) in the record, specify the user who made those changes, and the ability to drill down into a detailed view of the values changed.

By default, this functionality is enabled. In order to not track version history, the feature must be disabled.
