 Description

The user should be able to trigger the export of item records by providing records identifiers and export the records into delimited format. For the initial implementation the delimiter will be predefined (comma or pipe characters) but in the future implementation, the delimiter should be configurable.

The user should be able to:

  • export the entire item record
  • select fields from item records to be included in the export
  • select fields from instance and holdings records that should be included in the export in addition to item data.

I believe that at go-live the only format for data import is MARC21. In order to round trip item records, wouldn't we have to export as MARC21?

Comment by Brooks Travis [ 03/Jan/20 ]

This should be available as an action on an individual instance record in Inventory.

Magda Zacharska does this feature include the ability to export items in csv (or other delimited)?

Comment by Magda Zacharska [ 12/Jun/20 ]

Cate Boerema - we might start with csv and then add the option for the user defined custom delimiter.

Cool! Any plans for xml?

Comment by Magda Zacharska [ 13/Jun/20 ]

XML is covered in UXPROD-2224 Open and most likely we will not be able to get to it in Q3.

Adding LC3 label based on prioritization during the LCAP MM meeting on May 17, 2023
