 Description

To streamline workflow, if an order contains a electronic resource then automatically activate electronic resource in KB based on an order status.

Integration should handle

  • User manually associate an electronic resource to a POL AND matching an eResource on POL generated via an order feed to an electronic resource in KB
  • Select title and/or package in the KB and add to the library's eholdings
  • Send applicable order detail to eholdings
  • Check coverage date on order matches KB managed coverage date. If no match then populate custom coverage in the eholdings app
  • Provide details to eHoldings when title or package orders has lapsed or been cancelled.
  • no clashes between order integrations that already existing with KB used by library

For EBSCO KB customers, note that ESS already supports AND GOBI capability should be in place before fall.

Does this only relate to Acquisitions integration to the eHoldings app or something else? Could you elaborate on this Khalilah Gambrell

Theodor Tolstoy (One-Group.se) , yes it relates to a direct integration between Acquisitions and eholdings.

Comment from March Meeting : UA will re rank once rewritten:this is getting broken into two separate lines for gobi and for subscription services integraton

Khalilah Gambrell, do you have enough information to split this ticket?

Comment by Khalilah Gambrell [ 09/Jun/19 ]

patty.wanninger and Anya, If a GOBI and EBSCO KB customer then automatic activation of a resource will happen and the dev effort is not tied to any additional FOLIO work. It is the same for a EBSCO Subscription Service and EBSCO KB customer. I am revising this feature with more details.

FC Question: is this saying that if I purchase via EBSCOnet will this send an order record the same as gobi does?
