 Description

This is a catch-all feature for any remaining work needed for Codex app.

The current Codex app brings together your local inventory records as well as records from your enabled KBs for a unified search experience.

But the concept of the Codex goes beyond this and may be extended for additional use cases. Per this document, Codex is a normalization and virtualization layer that allows Folio to integrate metadata about various resources regardless of format, encoding, or storage location. It is the piece that allows disparate resources to be surfaced using a common vocabulary and description.

Charlotte Whitt and Cate Boerema, This feature is go-live for several schools. Are there any updates planned?

Hi Khalilah Gambrell - @Cate and I have discussed this one, and for the estimation process it is quite difficult to say anything qualified (right now)

We have UXPROD-148 Closed , which describes the possible access/implementation of access from Codex Search to GoKB, as the next KB (as discussed in Madrid), and I know that Harry have had some talks with e.g. OCLC. But as far as I know, nothing is decided yet.

Charlotte Whitt and I talked about this issue back in July. Notes from our discussion, which I believe clarified to some extent what Chalmers actually needs from this "catch-all" , are available in the Go-live for one library only spreadsheet.

Removing all but the essential features from the Q2 2019 Core Functional team backlog. After we've run the estimates through the cap plan, we may find we can pull in more.

The Codex app is being deprecated in Nolana. Closing this feature.
