Potential Workaround: Holly: It depends on how Loans implements Claimed Returned. If they put the suspended fees/fines in a different field, we will not display the suspended fees/fines or include them in our total fees/fines. In fact, there will be no record that there are any fees/fines. At a minimum we may want to add a new "staff info only" action in Fee/Fine Details so that staff know there is a suspended fee/fine. (Claimed Returned (UXPROD-88) is ranked high enough that it WILL be in the MVP.)

PO Ranking Note: Claimed returned is a high priority for Loans so it will be part of the MVP. This means that we will need to display suspended fees/fines for aged to lost items. I moved the ranking down a bit because we don't need this until Aged to Lost (UXPROD-87) is completed.

 Description

When a patron claims to have returned an item, we need to stop calculating fees/fines until the claimed returned has been resolved. This is really only an issue in two cases:
1) If the library ages overdue items to lost--we would want to stop that process
2) If the pending fees/fines feature UXPROD-392 Draft is implemented

Attached zipped folder Suspended.zip contains mock-ups and in-progress requirements for this feature.

5Colleges originally reported that this feature could wait for a year, but UXPROD-88 Closed was needed within a quarter. These two issues go hand in hand, so I changed this issue to match the NEEDED BY setting for UXPROD-88 Closed .

Comment from March Meeting : need to stop the accrual of the fine manually

Especially if suspended fines are displayed, I assume there should be logic in place to prevent actions being taken on them (payment, waive, transfer) until the claim return is resolved and the fee unsuspended. Is that correct?

Holly Mistlebauer I assume this is blocked by Claimed returned. Can you please link up the dependencies? Thanks!

UXPROD-780 Closed has been consumed by UXPROD-2247 Closed .
