 Description

Flexible service that allows a library faculty and staff to create workflows (series of steps) that can be assigned to orders and/or resources. The goal of the solution would be to allow alerting and queuing of tasks that need to be performed by multiple people/departments in a prescribed order in addition as a detailed history that can later be used with vendor discussions and renewals.

For Workflow App to be meaningful, it must be integrated with the To Do App. The To-do works in collaboration with the Workflows app, to expose and manage tasks and sequences of tasks in the system. It allows you to receive tasks based on any number of triggers – e.g. requests from forms, new resources arriving at the library, system failures needing review etc.

Filip Jakobsen, can you please add a brief description to this epic/project? If there is a high-level design or discuss post, it would be great if you could add a link here as well. Thanks!

Just marking this unassigned for now, as it seems this is on hold as we await the results of the Workflows POC (part of UXPROD-593 Open ).
