Current situation or problem: Items that are created directly in FOLIO are deleted with every instance/holdings/items update of that given source record in CBS. In scope:

Niels Erik is not super happy with this, but we can of course do it. Niels Erik will think about how this could be done. Antje and Felix mentioned that this might be more urgent for the Hebis network. Having a really source id property would be absolutely best. Julian mentioned that adding an Item source property would not be a breaking change if the this was implemented as a not mandatory data element, and the default value would be FOLIO. Felix and Charlotte will get the conversation started with the MM-SIG on August 10, 2023. Antjes suggestion would be the fast solution, and the source id would be the best solution. Charlotte mentioned that this might be a requirement coming out of the FOLIO LoC development work too. Links to additional info: Questions |
