 Description

Current situation or problem:
Currently the serial record has a very limited set of properties, relying on a link to a purchase order line for the majority of information.

This feature is to extend the list of properties directly on the serial to support recording data when no POL is available and to make it easier to support specific searches and displays

In scope
Adding the following properties to a serial record, and including them in the serial view/edit/search screens as required:

  • Title (1 string)
  • Publication identifiers (collection of identifier occurrences)
  • Publisher (list of strings)
  • Vendor (1 organisation)
  • Inventory instance (1 instance)

We would also like to support:

  • Location (list of holding locations)
  • Call number (list of strings)

Out of scope
This feature is just to add support for the properties. Updating information stored on the serial based on data in Orders and Inventory will be delivered via a separate feature.
