I would like to start working on this issue in the near future.

However, since we don't have either helper-apps or breadcrumbs yet (afaik - correct me if I'm wrong) I would like to start by focusing on the listing of apps as well as the app switcher dropdown. Should we make a new issue with the precise details of the specific part of this task?

Also, I would like to know where we landed in regards to accessibility - specifically in relation to the app switcher dropdown. As I remembered, the list is supposed to be sortable - both by mouse and keyboard but I'm not sure that we ended up with a final solution regarding keyboard sorting in an accessible way? Alternatively I could begin working on this task and leave out the sorting for now and then we could get back to it at a later point. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks Rasmus Wølk. I think we need to break this feature down into the following
1.) change current display of apps
2.) display a certain number of apps on the main toolbar
3.) display remaining apps in a dropdown.
4.) show selected app on the toolbar
5.) return to default app landing page
6.) display a home link

IOW - I am proposing that this feature is not just about responsiveness of the universal header but improving universal header navigation. Thoughts?

Tag a favorite app (or up to 3 favorite apps)

This issue can certainly be split up into smaller parts. And it's definitely not only about responsiveness.

In your points, I feel that 1, 2, and 3 are related to the same task.

As for 4) - We already show the selected app but this also needs some updates (a dropdown with options etc. - see ux.folio.org/prototype for more information). Unless of course, this has changed since we made the prototype.

5 and 6 will need some more information/ux/design.

As for marking apps as favorites - I guess this will also need to be discussed. Would the favorite apps be the ones displayed in the main header or? I think there were some talk about having drag/drop order determine which apps should be visible in the main nav. On https://ux.folio.org/prototype you can actually drag-n-drop items in the list and see them adjusting the list of apps in the main nav.

UXPROD feature assignee = product owner. I am assigning this to Khalilah for now, as she is the temporary PO for UX/stripes

Changing the dev team from Core to Frontside (this is needed by the cap plan model - we will make sure the "frontside" team in the model gets some of John Coburn's time.
