| Description |
|
As a cataloger, I need the ability to create a new authority within the BIBFRAME editor - when no authority file exists - in order to complete resource description and adhere to cataloging policies. Catalogers leverage authority databases to include definitive entries for a resource description. When the cataloger is unable to locate an authority entry (e.g. for a creator of a work), then a new entry must be added to the authority file in order to complete the resource description. The ability to search authority databases from within the BIBFRAME editor is addressed separately. |
