Current situation or problem: Some libraries are requesting the ability to link Orders to existing Items rather than being limited to Instances. When there are several Orders associated with an Instance, libraries sometimes need to associate specific Items with specific Orders.
In scope: Link between Orders and specific Items. Display of relationship in appropriate staff interfaces. Out of scope Use case(s): From Acquisitions-SIG: "Primary use case would be when items are created independently of the order records we would like users or third party tools to have the ability to connect the items to the order and update the order<>inventory links such that acq data is displayed appropriately in inventory. This is needed for both order types and receiving workflows." Proposed solution/stories TBD Links to additional info Acquisitions SIG Implementers #59: https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/x/NwNU Questions Is this more appropriately handled by an Inventory team or an Acquisitions team? |
