| Description |

Current situation or problem: System will manage many files over time. Some attachments are large and ultimately the system will bloat. Regulating bodies require certain standards be met regarding the management of digital files. In scope TBD Out of scope TBD Use case(s)
Proposed solution TBD - Opportunity to automate the transfer of the files to another system (Digital record keeping system) at a certain interval. Allow users to customize the expiration date of files by "type" and assign a variety of actions on expiration. Links to additional info Questions |

In recent discussion it has come into question wether this should be the responsibility of FOLIO be deferred to a file management system that is better equipped to manage it. If digital records are stored in a file manager and FOLIO only contains links to those documents FOLIO may only need to worry about cleaning up inactive links or something to that effect. |
