 Description

Current situation or problem:

FOLIO currently supports assigning service points to users. Users may then select to perform operation "at" any of those service points. However, it is desirable to be able to limit selecting a particular service point to users who are physically present in a particular geolocation, determined by some geolocation mechanism (eg. IP address, device location /GPS, installed browser certificate, SAML assertion, etc.)

In scope

  • A mechanism to configure geofences for service point selection
  • A mechanism to determine the geolocation of a FOLIO user during service point selection
  • Only show service points the user can currently select

Out of scope

  • Anything to do with limiting permissions by location
