 Description

Current situation or problem:

A location can be marked as active or inactive. Currently, there is only one workflow that is triggered if a location is inactive - when you are creating or editing a holding or item, when you choose an inactive location, you receive a warning message, but you are allowed to proceed.

Unable to render embedded object: File (screenshot-1.png) not found.

It is not obvious when viewing a location in a filter that it is inactive - the pop-up is the only warning.

To facilitate clearer workflows, we need to change record views and filter functionality. This feature encompasses changes in the record view (instance, holding, item).

In scope

  • When viewing an Instance record, and viewing the Holdings accordion, if the holdings location displayed in the accordion title is inactive, prepend "Inactive" to the location name ( UIIN-1970 Closed )
  • When viewing an Instance record, and viewing the Holdings accordion, if an item has an effective location that is inactive, prepend "inactive" to the location name in the effective location column ( UIIN-1970 Closed )
  • When viewing a holdings record, and viewing the Locations accordion, if either the holdings permanent or holdings temporary location have an inactive location, prepend "Inactive" ( UIIN-1968 Closed )
  • When viewing an Item record, and viewing the Locations accordion, if any of the potential location fields has an inactive location, prepend "inactive" to the location name ( UIIN-1969 Closed )

Out of scope

  • Any changes to mod-inventory - this should be ui-only work

Charlotte Whitt did this make Orchid? I saw the release listed on the story, but not here on the feature.
