I do a lot with trying to update subject headings to genre headings so I would love for Inventory to treat genre/form separately in the instance record. In the long run, I would also like to see genre/form as its own search, but would take it being a filter just to be able to separate the two things.
Also (at some point), it would be wonderful is the instance display mapping and the browse index could be customizable to only include headings with certain values in $2. That way, if we fail to delete genre headings from lists we don't use, they would not be displayed or returned in a search. |

I can't see a way to identify what is subject and what is genre if both of them are stored in one instance field. So, I think the first thing to do in the feature is to create a separate field for genre/form in the instance record. |

Feature is blocked until there is an Inventory app decision to handle Genre separate from Subjects. |
