 Description

The RA SIG has requested that we add Loan Type and Patron Group to the fee/fine record so that the historical information available is complete.

This will require two stories...

  1. Backend story to add Loan Type and Patron Group to the Loan Record so the fields are available when the Fee/Fine Record is created--they will be "hidden" from the Loan Details page
  2. Backend story to add Loan Type and Patron Group to the Fee/Fine Record when it is created
  3. Frontend story to add Loan Type and Patron Group to Fee/Fine Details page

It would be good if FOLIO could store both the UUID and the name of each value, in case the values are changed after the fine record is created.

Erin Nettifee: Would you want the UUID to be displayed on Fees/Fines Details, or just saved in the record "just in case"?

I don't think the UUID needs to be on the screen, but when the SIG talked about it there was interest in having it display in the UI. I do think there would need to be some way to signal it as the original loan type, e.g., suppose you have an item that had a loan type of course reserves which has a higher fine rate, but when you look at the item and fine later on the loan type has changed to "can circulate", you want to know that when the fine accrued, the loan type on the item was course reserves and that tells you why the amount is the way it is.

Erin Nettifee: Thanks for the info. Should any other fields on FEE/FINE DETAILS be changed to have "Original" in front of them? Or should I just add a general message about this to the page?
