 Description

Currently assigning of Instance/Holdings IDs/HRIDs to an underlying SRS record happens independently of the main processing flow (post-processing). Therefore, if errors happen during post-processing they are disregarded, even though the link between SRS and inventory records are broken.

Post processing =

  • New HRID returned from Inventory to SRS, then SRS updates the Instance again with updated identifiers (after 001/003/035 manipulation)
  • Same thing for MARC Holdings

Redesign approach for handling external IDs/HRIDs for entities created by DI that would allow to remove post-processing logic.

Create necessary stories for each involved module.
