Thomas Trutt and Wendy Wilcox - you mention as an example the use of icons in Inventory, which do not have a purpose. Some people are more visual oriented, and here icon helps them to quickly distinct between e.g. full screen view of a holdings record and an item record. The icon with the exclamation mark is used when an instance has been e.g. marked as suppressed from discovery or staff suppressed. The clipboard icon next to item barcode and the HRID in the instance, holdings and item is used to store the barcode or HRID into the clip board.
