 Description

Current situation or problem:

Talk with Cornell on 19 Aug 21: The first staff slip printed will be used throughout the journey of the item to the patron.

If the item ends up on the hold shelf, then staff need to the hold shelf expiration date - but if the slip was originally technically a e.g. recall slip, then that hold shelf expiration date would not have been available at the time of printing. N.B. this is a process issue, not a FOLIO issue.

A solution could be: Adding a token "Today's date", then having the option to e.g. add 7 days. This could then be configured to a multitude of different end uses.

Comment for Julie: Mustach is FOLIO's current template language.
Handlebars is an extention to Mustache, with inbuilt logic, which allows for flowstatments (e.g. IF/THEN) inside the template. Could this be a solution?

Im not sure if it would be a direct solution.. (didn't see anything int he docs) That said it does look like this plugin for HandleBars is available that allows date manipulation:

https://www.npmjs.com/package/handlebars-dateformat

It looks like it incorporates MomentJS with Handlbars; Momentjs is fairly robust.

Functionality may be covered by UXPROD-4465 Draft
