| Description |

Overview: The current implementation of Effective location follows a ring down algorithm calculating the Effective location in cases where there are: Instance > holdings > item. This solution does not take into account cases where there is no underlying item record, e.g. journals, and rare materials. These examples are listed as scenario 9 and 10 in the wiki doc: https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/display/RA/Effective+Location+Logic The topic was discussed with the MM-SIG on 3/12/2020 - https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/display/MM/2020-03-12+Metadata+Management+Meeting+notes |
