 Description

Overview: The MM-SIG discussed at meeting 1/9/2020 the possibility to be able to define different item identifier types, e.g. other barcodes, external system identifier, etc.

The current Item identifier value is a simple string data element, this is proposed to be changed into two value paired elements:

  1. item identifier type, controlled vocabulary set in a new Settings > Inventory page, and
  2. item identifier value

This is a long term solution. Breaking change.
