 Description

When creating a requests (Item Level or Titel Level) it would be helpful to have an information available about all the requests created so far for all items associated with the given instance. For example: Instance A with copies: A1, A2 and A3. A1 has 2 requests associated with it, A2 has 3 requests and A3 has 2 requests. Before a user (a librarian in Folio or a patron in the discovery layer) will place a request they will be able to see the combined number of the requests. In the example above the following message could be displayed: "There are already 7 requests placed for 3 copies "

Magda Zacharska is this part of TLR light or True TLR? Can you please clarify in the summary/title?

Comment by Magda Zacharska [ 05/May/20 ]

Cate Boerema - this is a separate feature that could be implemented separately of any approach to Title or Item Level Requests. I updated the title accordingly.

Although this is resolved in FOLIO as of Honeysuckle ( UXPROD-1802 Closed ), we are still as interested in having the total number of requests displayed to patrons in the discovery layer (EDS for us). Magda Zacharska

Is this Jira the same as UXPROD-1802 Closed , which is done? Or is it something else?

Comment by Magda Zacharska [ 14/Apr/21 ]

Marie Widigson the purpose of this Jira is to provide give a quick overview of the number of requests associated with each item from the Inventory Instance pane in Inventory app (the third pane on the screen)

Stephanie Buck - is the feature done as a part of TLR?

Comment by Stephanie Buck [ 30/Sep/22 ]

Khalilah Gambrell, request counts and queue placement can be found in the Request details. Including Request counts on the Instance and/or Item record was not included in title level request complete requirements.

Thanks Stephanie Buck

I'm going to close this as Won't Do since the number of requests on an instance is captured in Request details with the release of Title level requests with Morning Glory. Here are the release notes
