 Description

Current situation or problem:
Users can create check in notes and check in notes on item records. However, these are free-text fields, and tenants may wish for check in notes to be reused from item to item.

In scope

  • When editing item record, allow users to select from previously created check in notes when adding a new check in note
    • and similarly for check out notes
    • retain ability to add new check in notes without selecting a previously created one

Out of scope

Use case(s)

Proposed solution/stories

  • Use Notes feature

Links to additional info

  • From Chalmers: We want to be able to set up our own predefined Check out and Check in notes. The best would be if the users could choose between our predefined values or type in their own note.

Emma Boettcher, I just noticed this was assigned to me so I reassigned to you.

It reminds me a bit of the work Björn Muschall and the Leipzig team are doing to create canned patron blocks. I wonder if there will be anything we can leverage there (design etc).

What Cate Boerema refers to is UXPROD-2269 Closed resp. UX-396 Closed which includes some mockups from Annika Schröer
