 Description

--------------------------------------------------------

Old text. To be reviewed and updated:

• I show Aleph to demonstrate that I have an existing bib, holdings and item for this title
• This time I leave the 049/949 with a code of SNNN for our general collection, and I include a new barcode to trigger the creation of a new item record
• I export the record and see that the bibs matched, the holdings matched (so a new holdings was not created) and that a new item record was created
• I return to Aleph and refresh the record to show the new item

I try to identify the steps that are in OCLC.Connexion and the steps that are in aleph (-> in MARCcat, in the future):

(• I show Aleph to demonstrate that I have an existing bib, holdings and item for this title) (In ALEPH -> in MARCcat in the future)

I suppose the following steps
• This time I leave the 049/949 with a code of SNNN for our general collection, and I include a new barcode to trigger the creation of a new item record
• I export the record and see that the bibs matched, the holdings matched (so a new holdings was not created) and that a new item record was created

I suppose this step will be done in MARCcat (but please, check my following comment)
• I return to Aleph and refresh the record to show the new item

Attention: because no items will be in MARCcat, I suppose that this step will be handled calling an API to send info included in OCLC.Connexion directly in Inventory (pass trough MARCcat?). Check with Charlotte Whittand Ann-Marie Breaux

Question, when this process matches on holdings, what exactly is it matching on?

Hi Ann-Marie Breaux- I removed Mjolnier as development team, and assigned this feature to the FOLJIET dev team

Hi Charlotte Whitt That's fine - no worries. We'll just put it in the Folijet backlog for now. Thank you!
Ryan Taylor At some point, we need to look through these ISRI features and determine whether they can be consolidated with other features, closed, or remain open
