 Description

Use Cases:

  • Patron opts out of notices (unsubscribes)
  • Staff chooses to not send notices to specific patrons (VIP use case that Jana added below in comments)
  • Patron is deceased

Other things to consider:
There might be some scenarios where a patron does not want to receive an individual notice or where a staff member does not want to send an individual notice. We are allowing for that already on some screens (such as a manual fee/fine), but it's come up for additional screens (such as a new or cancelled requests).

Hi Darcy,
another use case could be if a Person is too important to get notices (e.g. Head of the University). I just wondered if that could possibly be build into a patron group via a policy.
Greetings,
Jana

Hi Jana Freytag, Thank you. I just added it as a use case above. I am wondering though is a patron group could be used for this purpose too, especially if their status affects loan, request and/or fee/fine policies.
