Two sections on this have been added to the LDP documentation at https://github.com/folio-org/ldp/blob/master/README.md beginning with the section "Local schema".

Comment by Sharon Beltaine [ 12/Aug/19 ]

The LDP will need to accommodate linking Illiad and Ares data as custom tables.

Comment by Sharon Beltaine [ 12/Aug/19 ]

The LDP will need to accommodate using MSAccess reports from OLE tables as custom tables.

Sharon Beltaine The creation of local tables in general is currently supported, as documented above. This issue is to document general guidelines for the use of local tables. If additional features or implementation guidelines (documentation) are or may be needed specifically for Illiad, Ares, or MSAccess data, please create new issues for these under https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UXPROD-1910.
