 Description

This is an umbrella issue for grouping work (including analysis and research work) related to the DB architecture in FOLIO. This includes recommendations from the OTS report and other issues raised by the community.

Select items:

  • data-base vs schema-base tenant-partitioning and the impact on scalability, maintenance, backups, security etc [JFS: it seems that the TC does not consider to be an actual issue]
  • provisioning DB (Postgres) connections to the module (current at deployment time), ability to provision them at the tenant enable time [JFS: this will likely need its own issue and is related somewhat to connection sharing and pooling: FOLIO-1794]

This might need the NFR tag to prevent early implementers from ranking it.
