 Description

Less clicking. [Also use of function keys and other keystrokes for actions; ability to set keystrokes for specific functions as we can do in Connexion (Pat--Chicago)]. Some keyboard shortcuts are definitely planned but not sure about ability to customize (agree that it's needed). (Laura)

@Cult: we need to have the final list of keyboard shortcuts from FOLIO, to associate them to the different functions listed in the several MARCcat menu.

Cornell's go-live ranking is based on the assumption that keyboard navigation is a basic accessibility need across the FOLIO environment.

Is there a list somewhere of what keyboard navigation is being planned for, that adopting libraries could review?

The keybord navigation already defined are displayed in the ACTION MENU button and are the following:

Add new field: CTRL+ENTER
Copy: CTRL+C
Paste: CTRL+V
Cut: CTRL+X
Clear field(s): SHIFT+BACKSPACE
Delete field(s): SHIFT+DELETE
Duplicate field(s): CTRL+D
Undo: CTRL+Z
Redo: CTRL SHIFT Z or CTRL Y
Lookup: CTRL+SHIFT+L
View MARC docs: CTRL+G

It's not possible to customize them. We followed the indications of the prototype designed by David Garcia Sanchez and Filip Jakobsen

Comment by Annalisa Di Sabato [ 26/May/20 ]

We closed this issue because is not possible to customize the keyboard navigation.
