 Description

A dedicated report (in-FOLIO or dara warehouse TBD) for identifying the most requested titles. This will inform the acquisitions workflow ("which titles should we purchase additional copies for").

Until this dedicated report is developed, this information can be found (less elegantly) by:

  1. Going to Requests
  2. Filtering to only see open requests and sort descending by "position in queue" column

This will give you the items that have the most open requests at this time. This same list can be exported to csv and manipulated in Excel which might offer some roll-up options if you are looking for requests by title instead of requests by item.

FC: there needs to be a way to have a report weekly on most requested items.

Comment by Marie Widigson [ 03/Feb/21 ]

As the workaround (using the Request app) works quite well for us at Chalmers, we downrank this a bit.

This feature is marked DRAFT until Brooks Travis has a chance to review it for validity.

Stephanie Buck This should actually be easier to implement now that we have done the work to add Instance information to the requests. I went ahead and moved it out of Draft into In Refinement.
