 Description

Policy overrides for loans and Check out app:

  • Override loan policy that says the item is non-circulating (checkout non-circulating item)
  • Handling of renewals with multiple failures: what combinations are eligible for overrides, and do they get a datepicker or have due date calculated?
  • Override of renewal failures for items with pending hold requests

Except for permission escalation, overrides should be flagged as such for reporting/audit trail purposes, and staff may want to enter comments about why the item had an override (assuming this affects loan structure). Policy overrides (override failed renewal, override failed loan/patron block) should be prioritized over permission escalation for the time being.

For Chalmers, only the "Handling of renewals with multiple failures..." one is Go-Live

Changed fix version & labels to indicate spillover.

Emma Boettcher, so CIRC-384 Closed is the only story that is a go-live Chalmers go-live that is not complete?

Comment by Emma Boettcher [ 01/Jul/19 ]

Khalilah Gambrell Yes, but I just split it so work could start on CIRC-384 Closed without waiting for CIRC-319 Closed to be done. UIU-1094 Closed refers to the same concept (renewal fails because item has been recalled + other reason) but specifically for the renewal failure reason in CIRC-319 Closed .

Emma Boettcher, will the draft stories attached to the feature be assigned to Vega? And will those stories be ready for the team to review in Q3?

Comment by Emma Boettcher [ 03/Jul/19 ]

Khalilah Gambrell Yes, I'll continue assigning the renewal overrides work to Vega. Cate brought to my attention that I had mis-labeled this & needed to split it, so those draft stories are now on UXPROD-1847 Closed .

I don't know what the priority is for incorporating holds into renewals - it doesn't have a fix version assigned. The other set of stories on there are about the renewal override with due date schedules, and those will be ready to review in Q3.

Thank you Emma Boettcher! Since all stories in this are now closed, I am marking the feature done.
